Yesterday (Philippine time), I awoke with the news of another mass shooting incident in schools in the United States through my Facebook and Twitter accounts. It was really a sad and a devastating event for the families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut, United States.

Like from the previous mass shooting incident in Virginia Tech in 2007, the gunman named Adam Lanza had mental problems who should have been medicated before he was able to shoot 28 persons including himself and his mother.

I think the problem here was not because the killer used a semi-automatic rifle but his parents who never took care of him after his parents separated in 2009, that brought Adam Lanza to release his anger through killing innocent children, himself, and his mother. Adam Lanza could use other weapons to kill anyone, himself, or her mother because of his traumatic experience after his parents got separated.

It is a sweeping generalization to blame firearms alone with the massacre, rather we should blame the killer, killer’s parents, and the school who never assured safety of the innocent children and teachers.

Condolences to the families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. The killer should go to hell.
